The Alliance for Community Media (ACM) is pleased to announce an exciting off-site event during the 2013 ACM Annual Conference in San Francisco, CA, May 29-31, 2013. Official Title Sponsor of the Annual Conference Your Sanctuary TV, a repository of quality Ocean and Earth Conservation Video content, will host a reception and tour at the Aquarium on the Bay on the evening of (May 29th).

“Through this event, Your Sanctuary TV offers attendees an exciting opportunity to both explore the local area and learn about Your Sanctuary TV’s mission to connect Access Stations and their viewers with quality Ocean and Earth Conservation Video Content,” said Sylvia Strobel, Esq., ACM Executive Director. “We are thrilled about this occasion for our attendees to have exclusive access to the aquarium and enjoy an informative evening out in San Francisco.”

Daniel Basta, Director of the Office of National Marine Sanctuaries, will kick off the evening at the Westin St. Francis on Union Square with welcome remarks, a short video, and great prizes. Attendees will then be directed to the Aquarium on the Bay where they can take a tour and enjoy refreshments.

Your Sanctuary TV is a repository of quality Ocean and Earth Conservation Video content that will be available for Free Download by Community Television Stations beginning in June 2013. From 30-minute programs to 60-second conservation messages, Your Sanctuary TV’s mission is to engage as many people as possible with images and information about the wonders, treasures and resources of the United States and the Islands of American Samoa. “We’re extremely honored to partner with the Office of National Marine Sanctuaries, along with other organizations such as Thank You Ocean, The Daily Earth Journal, and Everglades National Park”, said Your Sanctuary TV Executive Producer Stephen Ellzey. “It is our sincere hope that by bringing images and information of our Ocean and Earth resources into viewers’ homes, we’ll engage them in the efforts to preserve and protect these resources for future generations.”

The 2013 ACM Annual Conference, held at the Westin St. Francis on Union Square, is the premier networking and educational event for community media professionals. The conference focus will support the growth of business opportunities for community media centers. Attendees will meet with top industry professionals to explore key issues affecting public, educational, and government access (PEG) organizations and community media centers. The educational programs feature industry experts addressing fundraising, community engagement, CMC management, media and telecom policy.
