Young Massachusetts Director Cyrus Kowsari Nominated for Prestigious Award at Palm Beach International Film Festival

Cyrus Kowsari’s film The Color of Christmas is one of ten finalists for the Grand Jury Prize at the 18th Annual Palm Beach International Film Festival

Cyrus Kowsari's newest film "The Color of Christmas" will be screening at the Lake Worth Playhouse Stonzek Theatre on Sunday, April 7 at 3:00pm as part of the festival's short films program. "The Color of Christmas" is a comedy which Cyrus wrote, directed, produced, and edited. The film is among the select few in competition for the Grand Jury Prize, which will be awarded at The Palm Beach International Film Festival Awards on Thursday, April 11. "The Color of Christmas" will next play in Houston, TX from April 12 – April 21 as part of the 46th Annual WorldFest-Houston.

Having grown up in North Andover, MA, Cyrus began making films at Shore Country Day School in Beverly, MA and Brooks School in North Andover, from which he graduated in 2008. After high school he moved to California to study directing at Chapman University in Orange, CA. He is currently shooting a new short film and developing his first feature film.
