Nicole Garcia, M.D., pediatrician, has joined Summit Medical Group. Dr. Garcia practices in the Group’s 560 Springfield Avenue, Westfield, location with her colleagues in pediatrics, Drs. Cambria, Hermann and Levine.
Board certified in pediatrics, Dr. Garcia was an attending pediatrician in private practice with The Healthy Child in Darien, Conn. She has been a member of the Yale New Haven Hospital Quality Improvement Project Committee and Codirector of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine National Primary Care Week conference. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Garcia earned her B.A. magna cum laude in history and science at Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass., and she earned her M.D. at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, Farmington, Conn. After graduating, she completed her residency in pediatrics at Yale New Haven Hospital.
A gifted teacher, Dr. Garcia has taught health education for Hartford Health Education seminars as well as cardiopulmonary resuscitation for the American Red Cross and Harvard Emergency Medical Services. She has been a volunteer physician for the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, South Park Inn Clinic, South Marshall Clinic, the Migrant Farm Workers' Clinic, Habitat for Humanity, and Connecticut Hospice, all located in Connecticut.
