Colosa, Inc., the developer of the ProcessMaker open source BPM and Workflow suite, today announced the creation of a new technology integration with SugarCRM, the world’s fastest-growing customer relationship management (CRM) company. ProcessMaker SugarCRM Edition is a new Sugar Module that contains a full BPMN 2.0 designer and engine for use as part of SugarCRM. The announcement was made during the leadup to SugarCRM’s 7th annual SugarCon event, a customer and developer’s conference being held April 8-12, 2013 at The Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City.

The benefits of this new technology integration include: a more powerful visual workflow designer and engine available inside SugarCRM that allows users to design workflows inside Sugar that control the way Sugar tasks get routed to different Sugar users, track how long these tasks take to be performed, and control which Sugar screens get displayed and in what order during a workflow.

“For years we have listened to Sugar users and partners who have told us that they would like to have a more powerful visual workflow designer and engine available inside SugarCRM, said Brian Reale, CEO of Colosa. “This is not just a loosely coupled web services integration, this is a native module that loads inside SugarCRM and adds all the power of true BPM technology to the world’s fastest growing CRM platform.”

“ProcessMaker brings a unique value proposition to for our Sugar customers,” said, Clint Oram, CTO, VP of product strategy and co-founder of SugarCRM. “Our customers have been requesting a visual and more powerful workflow designer inside SugarCRM, and ProcessMaker fulfills this need.”
