Fountainview at Gonda Westside, a new continuing care retirement community, has begun marketing at a newly opened Sales Center at 12025 Waterfront Drive in Playa Vista.

“The community has been conceived as a healthy aging center and is the first of its kind to be planned in Playa Vista,” said Laurie Nussbaum, director of marketing. “As such, it will offer an upscale campus environment for seniors to live active, engaged lifestyles, making healthy aging the focus.”

Located in the heart of Playa Vista, Fountainview at Gonda Westside will feature 176 independent living residences in a variety of one- and two-bedroom floor plan configurations ranging from approximately 800 to 1,550 square feet. Penthouse suites (which will offer up to 2,400 square feet) are designed on the building’s sixth level to take full advantage of the community’s location with expansive views. Underground valet parking will also be provided. The community is anticipated to be completed in 2016.

The contemporary design by the international architectural firm, Gensler, optimizes views, natural light and ventilation within residences while connecting with the outdoors and integrating with the Playa Vista community.

Interior building amenities are complemented by outdoor features such as numerous courtyards and terraces, a rooftop swimming pool, fitness center, garden, sun deck and entertainment area. Planned as components within Fountainview at Gonda Westside are gourmet dining venues, a state-of-the-art theater, full service salon and day spa, library and business center and a creative arts studio.

In addition to Fountainview’s emphasis on educational, cultural and recreational activities, residents will also have access to the greater community of Playa Vista’s extensive array of amenities for recreation, shopping, and entertainment.

“Since Playa Vista offers a vibrant urban setting with restaurants, shops and parks, our future residents will benefit from this new urban lifestyle,” said Nussbaum. “Here, there are pedestrian and bike paths interconnecting community parks and open spaces.”

With an emphasis on healthy aging, Fountainview at Gonda Westside provides a continuum of care including 24 assisted living and memory care residences planned in secured areas while skilled nursing will be offered nearby. Fountainview at Gonda Westside is a nonprofit development affiliated with The Los Angeles Jewish Home family of communities.
