Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 08, 2013
Worldwide Aeros Corp. (Aeros) will be attending the Sea Air Space Conference and Exposition in D.C. this week from April 8-10 in National Harbor, MD.
The team from Aeros will join members from the Defense Logistics Agency, Marine Corps Systems Command, Military Sealift Command, Navy Air Systems Command, Naval Research Lab and Office of Naval Research, U.S. Coast Guard, and others to provide a look at The Aeroscraft. The Aeroscraft may soon provide ‘factory to foxhole’ capabilities to the military, and will support ‘factory to facility’ logistical solutions for global commerce, especially for oversized, high-valuable or perishable cargos. The Aeros business development team will be at booth #2503 in Hall E to address recent milestones and future direction of the Aeroscraft; Vice Presidents Frederick Edworthy and Shenny Yao will both be on hand to discuss the exciting future in flight.
Advanced hybrid airships like the Aeroscraft could provide transformational capability to the military: a potential asset bridging the gap between current assets like airplanes that provide speed, and cargo ships that provide capacity. They would expand multi-modal operations, aid humanitarian crisis response, and do so with fiscal acuity and energy consciousness, now enabled by technological availability. The Aeroscraft advanced hybrid airship is able to compress inert helium for in-flight ballasting using a patented buoyancy management system or COSH (control-of-static-heaviness) system. This enables true VTOL flight without external ballast, which other lighter-than-air vehicles employ and are dependent upon. By being able to control the vehicle’s heaviness, the Aeroscraft has eliminated the need for infrastructure and ground personnel from the equation, and opened a new era for cargo logistics for the military and corporate interests around the world.
Sea-Air-Space is the largest maritime exposition in the U.S., an extension of the Navy League’s mission of maritime policy education and sea service support, providing the most current information and technology relevant to maritime policy. The event brings the U.S. defense industrial base, private-sector U.S. companies and key military decision makers together for an annual innovative, educational and professional and maritime based event.
Media interested in interviews should contact PR for assistance with facilitation.
About Aeroscraft: An Aeroscraft is a new type of Rigid Variable Buoyancy Air Vehicle, designed to control lift in all stages of air or ground operations, including the ability to off-load heavy payloads without the need to re-ballast. The Aeroscraft creates a new paradigm for air transportation and logistical solutions. For the first time in history, an aircraft will be designed to control and adjust buoyant and dynamic lift, creating unique capabilities beyond what has traditionally been available. This exclusive aircraft is poised to disrupt the air transportation industry as we know it today, and provide tremendous opportunities for business and consumers globally. The key features of the Aeroscraft include a rigid structure, vertical takeoff and landing (access remote locations) and operational abilities at low speed, in hover and from unprepared surfaces.
