this product may cause serious adverse health consequences, including death
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) April 09, 2013
AttorneyOne.com, a recognized authority on law, updated the website recently and they are now actively providing expert opinion in view of the recent news on Granuflo Class Action Lawsuits.
According to court documents, on March 6th, 2013 four class action lawsuits were filed alleging DaVita Healthcare, a national dialysis treatment provider, should have known of the risks for serious adverse effects from Granuflo and Naturalyte (Colorado District Court, case no: 1:2013cv00573, 1:2013cv00574, 1:2013cv00576 and 1:2013cv00579). Granuflo, manufactured by Fresenius Medical Care, is an additive used in kidney dialysis to help patients maintain their bicarbonate levels which neutralize the acid buildup in the bloodstream during dialysis.
On March 29th 2012, the FDA informed about a class I recall of Naturalyte and Granuflo Acid Concentrate because “inappropriate prescription of these products can lead to a high serum bicarbonate level in patients undergoing hemodialysis”. This may contribute to metabolic alkalosis, associated with cardiac arrhythmia that may culminate to cardiac arrest. According to the announcement “this product may cause serious adverse health consequences, including death”.
Taking into consideration the latest developments, AttorneyOne.com updated the website and, now, can actively provide an expert opinion including how to get in contact with legal counsel easily and inexpensively in case of alleged Granuflo severe complications. Sean Burke, director of Media Relations for AttorneyOne.com, adds that the relevant information illustrates that people continue to file Granuflo lawsuits. "For that reason", he continues, "our focus should squarely fall on getting the word out and assisting people in finding the right legal assistance.”
A lawsuit was filed on January 14th, 2013 by a Texas woman in Massachusetts District Court (case no. 1:2013cv10082) alleging her husband felt ill after hemodialysis treatment with Granuflo and two days later died of a heart attack.
AttorneyOne.com has further information on Granuflo lawsuits including how to get in contact with legal counsel.
