Paris Browns comments on twitter where stupid and immature. It is understandable that many people believe that she should resign.
(PRWEB UK) 15 April 2013
According to The Independent report social media messages written by Britain’s first youth police commissioner, Paris Brown are to be investigated by the police force that employed her. Before taking the job, seventeen year old, Paris Brown allegedly posted homophobic and racist comments on her Twitter account and boasted about getting drunk. Kent police are to decide whether Paris, 17, has committed any offences in writing the tweets. Many people have called for Miss Brown to stand down in light of her tweets but she her actions have been defended by her boss at Kent police, Ann Barnes.
The report goes on to say that Miss Brown has sincerely apologised for the remarks and denies being homophobic, racist or violent and that she is against the taking of drugs, despite a reference to hash brownies. In a statement, Miss Brown said:
"I deeply apologise for any offence caused by my use of inappropriate language and for any inference of inappropriate views.
"If I'm guilty of anything, it's showing off and wildly exaggerating on Twitter and I am very ashamed of myself."
Ann Barnes, Kent Police and Crime Commissioner and Miss Browns boss said:
"We went through a perfectly normal recruitment process and we had her vetted by the force,"
"Nobody normally looks through anybody's Twitter feed - perhaps that's a lesson for the future. We are living in a different world now."
