We think they are all wonderful games that our player judges and consumers alike will enjoy!
Arlington, Texas (PRWEB) April 08, 2013
American Mensa selects St Louis, Missouri, “The Gateway City”, as the site for the 24th annual Mensa Mind Games®. One of the largest board game competitions in the nation, Mind Games happens April 19 – 21 at the St. Louis Airport Marriott. More than 300 Mensa members from across the country will pore over this year’s brand new board games. The game action continues through the weekend non-stop until each and every one of the games is played and evaluated and five new games join the elite ranks of Mensa Select®. The event, hosted by St. Louis Area Mensa is open only to Mensa members and their guests, but the public is invited to take the Official Mensa Admissions test on the final day of the event. The test session happens Sunday, April 21, at 1p.m. in the Marriott.
The Mensa Select designation provides winners with a distinct mark that recognizes their ability to entertain the highest levels of board game fandom based on aesthetics, instructions, originality, play appeal, and play values. “All the games that make the cut for Mind Games had to meet certain criteria to be here,” said Greg Webster, Chief Judge of Mind Games. “We think they are all wonderful games that our player judges and consumers alike will enjoy!”
The winners of the 2012 Mensa Select seal included Iota, Snake Oil, Mine Shift, Coerceo, and Tetris Link. Past winners have included family favorites Trivial Pursuit™, Scattergories™, and Taboo™. This year’s entries include products from Griddly Games, Tiltfactor Laboratory, Maranda Enterprises, and SchilMil Games.
