Bill’s doctors at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami told us that his only option now is a lifesaving double lung transplant.
WAUKESHA, Wisc. (PRWEB) April 10, 2013
Swimtastic founders Barrett and Susan Wainscott are working with the nonprofit HelpHOPELive to fundraise for out-of-pocket medical expenses related to Susan’s brother’s survival. Her brother Bill Jamison has cystic fibrosis. In the last few years his health has deteriorated; he relies on full-time oxygen to survive.
“Bill’s doctors at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami told us that his only option now is a lifesaving double lung transplant,” said Susan Wainscott. “He is now actively listed for this procedure, but he is in need of funds to help offset many critical but uncovered expenses.”
Proceeds from the upcoming events at Swimtastic (900 Tesch Court) will benefit the HelpHOPELive Southeast Lung Transplant Fund in honor of Bill Jamison and will be used to pay for insurance co-pays and deductibles, travel to and from the transplant center, and temporary relocation for approximately six months or more following the surgery. Jamison will also face a lifetime of costly anti-rejection medications.
