NetCom Learning announces the winner of the November 2012 Sarder Scholarship is Zainul Somrow, who is working toward his degree in Computer Computer and hopes to take coursework in networking. Zainul is a twenty year-old sophomore attending a technical college who, in addition to going to school full time, also works in the field on IT as a Desktop Support Technician.

“Zainul Somrow is motivated and working as hard as he can to achieve his goal of a successful career in information technology,” said Russell Sarder, CEO of NetCom Learning. “It is a privilege to be able to help such a committed hardworking young man learn networking and take some of the financial burden off his shoulders as he works toward his goal,” said Sarder.

Zainul Somrow wants to move forward in his information technology career to transition into networking, an area where he does not have a lot of experience. He has been working in information technology primarily in the field of banking and finance at companies such as Credit Suisse as soon as he graduated high school. His first year in college he worked fulltime while taking five college courses.

His hope is that the scholarship will give him the financial help he needs to take some networking courses that will take him closer to his career objectives. Zainul states that he wants to know ten years down the road that he did everything he could to attain the career he wants and that he will have no regrets about all the work he has put in to his profession.

The Sarder Scholarship is awarded on a monthly basis to a qualified applicant looking to advance their career in IT. The $2500 scholarship award can be used toward live online classes or any regular classroom course. The scholarship is named after the company’s co-founder who is an ardent believer in the need for lifelong learning.
