Gibbon Slacklines and Echo Brewing to Celebrate the Brewery’s First Anniversary with Slackline Jam

Local businesses team up kick off the slackline season at the Frederick, CO brewery.

If there’s one other passion that slackliners can all agree on, it’s beer, and this year’s competitive slackline season is kicking off at Echo Brewing in Frederick, CO. Celebrating the first anniversary of the family run brewery, Echo will be hosting a Slackline Jam on April 13, 2013 from 12 – 4 p.m. where pro slackliners will battle it out showcasing their best flips, tricks and stunts on the slackline.

    “Echo Brewing has been an important supporter of Gibbon’s competitions this past year,” said Emilio Torres, vice president of sales at Gibbon Slacklines. “We’re thrilled to team up with another local business and celebrate their one year anniversary the best way we know how – with a slackline jam.”

    Athletes participating in the Echo Brewing Slackline Jam include notable members of the Gibbon Slacklines Men’s Pro Team. These talented slackliners include Frankie Najera, Mickey Wilson, Justin Wagers and Luke Hall.

    “We’re extremely proud to be celebrating a successful year in business,” noted Dennis Richards of Echo Brewing. “Hosting a slackline jam is the most exciting and interactive way to commemorate everyone’s hard work and celebrate with our friends and partners.”
    Echo Brewing’s first anniversary celebration will include a day of live music, food trucks, giveaways and special beer tappings. The festivities will begin at 11 a.m. MDT at 5969 Iris Pkwy, Frederick, Colorado.

For those unfamiliar with the sport, slacklining is the act of balancing along a narrow, flexible piece of webbing which is low to the ground and usually anchored between two trees. For more experienced slackliners, tricklining is executing different tricks, flips and jumps on the line while continually developing more creative moves with bigger air and advanced skill.
