Education technology company IPEVO has released the IPEVO Whiteboard app, available to all at the Apple App Store. Whiteboard turns iPad into an interactive whiteboard for teachers and presenters.

Pointers, arrows, lines, shapes, free draw and editable text boxes are all possible on IPEVO Whiteboard.

IPEVO Whiteboard is simply the easiest and most straightforward way to turn iPad into a portable, interactive whiteboard for education.

Acknowledging the increasingly large part that Apple's iPad plays in modern education, tech company IPEVO has announced the release of the IPEVO Whiteboard app. In conjunction with the new WS-01 Wireless Station for iPad, IPEVO Whiteboard promises to turn iPad into a portable, interactive whiteboard which can display as well as annotate physical documents and more when combined with an IPEVO document camera. The app is available for free download from the Apple App Store.

Whiteboard displays real-time video streaming when used in conjunction with the WS-01 Wireless Station and one of IPEVO's USB document cameras, including Ziggi and the Point 2 View. Textbook pages, artwork, charts and graphs, 3D objects, math equations, handwriting and more can be displayed on the iPad with this full IPEVO setup.

Users can then draw and add text to the image using a touchscreen toolkit. These tools include a pointer, free draw, squares and ovals, editable text boxes, straight lines and arrows. Features of the tools can be customized, such as line width, color, and opacity. An eraser tool, undo and redo functions, and a Clear All round out the toolkit. Users may use a combination of these tools to annotate, emphasize, and draw focus to certain parts of the image as part of a teaching session, presentation or lecture.

In addition to the live video feed from the document camera, Whiteboard users may elect to use other backgrounds, including a blank white canvas, an image from the Photo Library, or the video from the iPad's own camera. Users can create multiple "boards" using different backgrounds and freely switch between them. Boards may then be sent to an associated Evernote account through integrated support for the popular notetaking application.

Both the video and the annotation can be displayed on a large screen with either a VGA connection to a projector, or wirelessly through Apple TV. This is ideal for classroom education, demonstrations and lectures.

"IPEVO Whiteboard is simply the easiest and most straightforward way to turn iPad into an interactive whiteboard for education," said Royce Hong, CEO and big head of design of IPEVO. "But more than that, it's designed to work seamlessly with the new WS-01 Wireless Station and our document cameras. With this complete solution, teachers and presenters not only have a way to display documents and objects. They have a way to better explain and interact with their material through annotation. And this level of engagement is invaluable for the learning process."

The IPEVO Whiteboard app is available at no charge through the Apple App Store. The WS-01 Wireless Station for iPad and USB Document Cameras, along with IPEVO's popular line of document cameras, are available at the IPEVO Online Store at http:/http://www.ipevo.com.
