Co-located events combined attendance exceeds 2,300.

“Exhibitors were thrilled with the increased attendance, as well as the high quantity and quality of their local leads."

Professionals from the facilities, machining and manufacturing industries came out in record numbers to attend Northwest Facilities Expo and Northwest Machine Tool Expo, at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, March 27 and 28, 2013. Attendees experienced two days of top-quality education, as well as a packed exhibit hall with over 170 exhibiting companies.

Northwest Facilities Expo, the largest facilities event in the Pacific Northwest, experienced an 11% increase in attendance from 2012. “We had another solid facilities event in the Northwest,” reported Lisa Nagle, Director of the Facilities Expos. “Exhibitors were thrilled with the increased attendance, as well as the high quantity and quality of their local leads. There was great optimism about continued economic recovery and the co-located Machine Tool Expo added value and excitement to the event. Both exhibitors and attendees are looking forward to next year!”

This year marked the first co-location with Northwest Machine Tool Expo, the premier regional event for machine tool and manufacturing industry professionals. Attendance for Northwest Machine Tool Expo was up 16% from 2009, the last time this event was held. “The return of the Northwest Machine Tool Expo was a success,” said Nagle. “Exhibitors were impressed and amazed at the comeback of the show. They went ‘all out’ and displayed more equipment than in recent years, which created a nice buzz on the show floor. There’s great optimism regarding the upturn in manufacturing, which was reflected in the strength of this event. Attendees and exhibitors are already talking about the next event!”

“Conferences for both events were highly attended,” commented Marion Sours, conference manager. “Our sessions that focused on cost-savings that could come from energy and water efficiencies were particularly popular.”
