Angel Capital Association (ACA), the world's leading professional and trade association for angel investors, today announced its Keynote speakers for the 2013 ACA Summit: Navigating Change for Angel Success.
On Thursday, April 18th, Dave McClure and Aydin Senkut, two of the most prolific early-stage investors in Silicon Valley, will keynote the ACA Summit. Richard Sudek, Chairman Emeritus of Tech Coast Angels will moderate a keynote panel entitled “Thought Leaders in Entrepreneurial Success and Financing.” McClure of 500 Startups and Aydin Senkut will discuss past lessons learned and future entrepreneurial financing trends.
Dave McClure – In addition to being founding partner of internet startup seed fund and incubator 500 Startups, venture capitalist Dave McClure has invested in over 250 companies, including Mint.com, Twilio, TaskRabbit, and Slideshare, among others.
Aydin Senkut – Founder and Managing Director of Felicis Ventures, Senkut was named one of the top 25 tech angels by Businessweek and featured as one of the top 8 up and coming VCs by Forbes’ Midas List.
Other keynote speakers at the Summit include David Verrill and Robert Wiltbank. David Verrill, ACA Chair and Founder & Managing Director of Boston-based Hub Investment Group will speak on this year’s Summit theme, “Navigating Change for Angel Success.” Verrill will address how ACA’s vision and mission to fuel the success of angel investing groups and accredited investors as an integral part of the future of angel investing.
Robert Wiltbank, professor of strategic management at Willamette University, will feature keynote, “Lies, Damn Lies & Angel Data.” In this session, Wiltbank analyzes published data on angel investing and provides guidance on parsing fact versus fiction. Wiltbank will also share the latest data from his own research on angel returns, as well as unveil the new 2012 HALO Report, a collaborative research effort of Angel Resource Institute and Silicon Valley Bank, with data powered by CB Insights, which will be released earlier that week.
