Over 95% of eating is emotionally driven, and that is why dieting is usually so hard using willpower alone. We teach clients how to take back conscious control so that losing weight becomes easier and longer lasting.

According to Food Manufacture, mindless eating leads to around 43 percent of over consumption in the United Kingdom.

The study revealed that the average Briton ate 1,270kg of food a year which equates to 384kg more food than the body needed.

Over eating is said to be due to "mindless eating", where people made 220 decisions about food and drink decisions every day, yet were only aware of about 15.

Findings indicated that as a nation we ate nearly four times the recommended amount of meat each week and three times as many biscuits and cakes, yet 69 percent less fruit and 75 percent less vegetables than experts recommend.

Co-creator of DietAssist, Rob Woodgate, says "The results of this study are not surprising to us. At DietAssist, our focus has always been on helping people gain control over their eating habits, rather than focussing on any specific diet regime or meal plan."

"We believe that over 95% of eating is emotionally driven, and that is why dieting is usually so hard using willpower alone. We teach clients how to take back conscious control so that losing weight becomes easier and longer lasting."

"It's not that people are greedy, it's just that they don't know how to lose weight."

The DietAssist programme gives dieters a deep understanding about how their mind works, and how to use it to their advantage – whatever diet or sensible eating plan they are using. It aims to help them to take back control over their eating behaviours and teaches them to act more appropriately in relation to food and eating in the future.

The DietAssist programme is the result of over 20 years experience of helping people to lose weight effectively, and uses the latest psychological techniques to avoid the self sabotage and demotivation that dieters commonly experience.

The DietAssist programme helps dieters strengthen their motivation and resolve, and creates the optimum psychological state for success.
