As of April 9, 2013, the Washington Redskins signed four more players and still managed to stay $30,000 under the salary cap. The team signed tight end Fred Davis, cornerback DeAngelo Hall, and quarterbacks Rex Grossman and Pat White. The Redskins were able to do so without reworking any other players’ contracts. Although this was a good move by the Redskins, the team still remains in a tough situation being so close to the salary cap, and having more players to roster. They will have to make further moves and adjustments to clear cap room for any configuring done later on in the offseason. Supposedly, the Redskins will be signing free agent cornerback Antoine Winfield. They must also sign the rookies they select in this month’s NFL Draft. This year, the team’s salary cap is at $109.2 million dollars, about $14 million dollars less than other NFL teams. Stays tuned at to see what deals are made in order to stay under the salary cap. (
