New York Law Firm Anelli Xavier announces the implementation of a new phase of attorney collaboration that will be known as the “Attorney Roundtable.” This new weekly meeting will be an ongoing vehicle to better serve Anelli Xavier’s many clients throughout New York State, according to Anelli Xavier’s Managing Partner Tom Anelli. “This is an integral part of Anelli Xavier’s ongoing commitment to field the best educated, best prepared team of DWI defense lawyers in the entire State of New York,” states Anelli. Each week will feature reading, writing, and “hands on” case studies of the legal issues specific to DWI defense.
With a nationwide reputation as one of the nation’s finest DWI defense attorneys, Tom Anelli has built the Anelli Xavier practice into the premier DWI defense firm in New York State. In recent years, Anelli Xavier has handled DWI cases in every one of New York’s 62 counties. These cases range from first-time DWI defenses to the defense of complex cases involving serious injury and death. As the practice grew in number of clients and geographic scope, Anelli perceived the need to hire and train additional attorneys to more quickly and completely serve his firm’s clients. In conjunction with the recent opening of the expanded Anelli Xavier office in Albany and the establishment of the newly opened Rochester office, Anelli conceived the “Attorney Roundtable” Program to be implemented at all three (3) Anelli Xavier locations as a way to use synergy throughout the entire state.
“This is a unique and innovative program,” states Anelli. “It’s called a “roundtable” because attorneys will be contributing and sharing their questions and ideas” adds Anelli. “I want each Anelli Xavier attorney to have an opportunity to contribute his or her ideas and to bring to the roundtable a current case where an actual Anelli Xavier client’s case will be better served by having several attorneys dissect the prosecution and identify all possible legal defenses.”
Under Anelli’s direction, the Roundtable will be overseen by Senior Attorneys Christopher I. Simser, in the Syracuse office, Kevin O’Brien, in the Albany office, and Richard Roxin, in the Rochester office. “These three attorneys bring more than 60 years of combined experience to the table. Christopher has served as a prosecutor in two counties and as a local court judge, Richard has prosecutorial experience, including heading up Monroe County’s DWI Bureau, and Kevin is a former prosecutor and one of the most successful trial attorneys in the state”
“I considered and even began to formulate other models of attorney interaction,” Anelli admits. “But the roundtable concept is the one that struck me as the most constructive. It’s more than just a name – it’s a specific time each week set aside for our attorney staff to interact interoffice and review specific legal readings and particular case law, and to relate these readings to active cases in an effort to see each case from every possible legal angle.”
