CCTV footage has been released of the moment a 24 year old man crashed his mum’s Audi TT sports car into a petrol station shop at 70mph in Stockport, Greater Manchester.
The car mounted the curb at high speed and ploughed into the glass front of the shop, narrowly missing a motorist filling his car.
The young man caused £190,000 worth of damage which left the car embedded in the shop window and admitted aggravated vehicle taking, dangerous driving and driving without insurance in court. He had been the left the keys while his mum was away and had decided to move the car from a nearby pub where it had been parked following drinking and an argument with his girlfriend.
