...there is a siginificant opportunity for vendors because clearly providers are in need of guidance and support to make their ICD-10 conversion journey as painless as possible."

Healthcare brand consulting, research and communications firm Aloft Group is pleased to announce the availability of their new white paper entitled “5 Things You Can Do Now to be an ICD-10 Hero” targeted at ICD-10 vendors who offer assistance to healthcare providers in the process of converting to ICD-10.

The “5 Things You Can Do Now To Be An ICD-10 Hero” white paper is based on the findings from Aloft Group’s recent ICD-10 Snapshot Study, which revealed that three out of four providers have completed 25% or less in their ICD-10 implementation process, and one-third of respondents have not yet started. The deadline for ICD-10 implementation is October 2014.

The study results also showed that providers see much room for improvement with their ICD-10 vendors: 41% were frustrated with the lack of guidance their vendors provide, and 44% believe their vendors don’t have an adequate schedule in place to ensure they will be ready in time for the deadline.

When asked what they would most like to see more of from their ICD-10 vendors, the majority (61%) stated the ability to run parallel systems to resolve issues prior to go-live as their top response, followed by assistance with a formalized training plan for user training and education to improve physician acclimation.

“We created this white paper after the ICD-10 Snapshot Study revealed that there is a siginificant opportunity for vendors because clearly providers are in need of guidance and support to make their ICD-10 conversion journey as painless as possible,” said Matt Bowen, president and CEO of Aloft Group. “We provide recommendations as to how these ICD-10 vendors can best capitalize on this opportunity by communicating their strengths and knowledge through appropriate marketing channels. It’s our mantra that ‘brand clarity creates brand demand’ and if an ICD-10 vendor needs help in this department, the white paper delivers the guidance they need to better market themselves to providers.”

The “5 Things You Can Do Now To Be An ICD-10 Hero” white paper will provide proven tips and techniques for:

  •     Revealing Your Thought Leadership
  •     Creating Onsite and Online Training and Support Programs
  •     Developing Internal Adoption Assistance Programs
  •     Creating Referral Programs, and much more
