Company to showcase infusion pumps, bags, hypodermic needles and introducer needles at event

B. Braun OEM Division (http://www.bbraunoem.com) will attend the 2013 BIOMEDevice Boston show, April 10-11, at Boston Convention & Exhibition Center and will promote its medical device contract manufacturing services and components as well products and packaging that pharmaceutical and biotech companies can use from their drug development through commercialization.

Featured products on display at the B. Braun booth (#908) will include the Perfusor® Space Infusion Pump System, DUPLEX® Drug Delivery System, PAB® Partial Additive Bags and two new products: Sterican® bulk, non-sterile hypodermic needles and the Safecan™ Safety Introducer Needle.

The competitively priced Sterican® hypodermic needles are available in a wide range of gauges and lengths. They feature a smooth surface with a light silicone coating and an ultra-sharp, tri-beveled profile designed to promote ease of penetration. The Safecan™ Introducer Needle – available as finished sterile product for end-market use – is used to gain vascular access for the placement of a guidewire. It is designed to reduce the risk of needlestick injury and promote OSHA compliance. It features a patented safety clip that covers the needletip upon user activation and a sharp, lubricated needle tip designed to facilitate smooth access and minimize resistance during insertion.

Products and components will span several several categories: fluid administration and management products, valves, admixture devices and drug delivery, interventional accessories, catheters and custom kits

B. Braun OEM Division can provide standard products as well as custom products and fully packaged and sterilized procedure kits for the medical device, pharmaceutical and biotech markets.

The BIOMEDevice Forum brings together world-class medical device designers, engineers, researchers and manufacturers to share best practices for planning and executing innovation in medical device design. This is New England’s only conference program to focus solely on the design and development of a medical device through a carefully structured series of interactive case studies, technology sessions, panel debates and keynote presentations.
