The largest gathering of non-governmental organizations dedicated to the promotion of intellectual property licensing and technology transfer for the betterment of mankind to meet in Geneva, hosted by LESI

Collectively, the activities of GTIF 2014 will ensure a strong foundation for the next generation of intellectual property licensing and technology transfer service for the betterment of mankind.

The Licensing Executives Society International (LESI), a global association of 32 national and regional societies, each composed of individuals who have an interest in the transfer of technology or licensing of intellectual property rights, announced from the site of their annual Delegates and management meeting in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the date for the 3rd Annual Global Technology Impact Forum (GTIF 2014) to take place January 19-21, 2014 in Geneva, Switzerland.

LESI President-elect, Yvonne Chua of Wilkinson & Grist, described what will be the largest gathering of the world’s leading non-governmental organizations addressing the promotion of intellectual property licensing and technology transfer for the betterment of mankind.

GTIF 2014 will take place during Ms. Chua’s term as President of LESI and “provides a unique problem-solving and networking medium for participating organizations to act collaboratively over the course of the following year in tandem with each organization’s distinct, yet interconnected, mission.”

Global organizations representative of three interest groups – Intellectual Property Protection & Harmonization, Trade & Economic Development, and Technology Transfer & Standards – will participate.

GTIF 2014 will provide unique board-to-board networking and collaboration opportunities to move forward a consensus agenda addressing major intellectual property licensing and technology transfer concerns.

Institutional participation in the LESI Global Technology Impact Forum 2014 is by invitation. A list of organizations who attended GTIF 2012 and GTIF 2013 is available at GTIForum.org. Individuals and the media may register to observe the proceedings.
