The international law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP, announced that Gabriel Monzon-Cortarelli has joined its New York City office as a shareholder in the Corporate & Securities Practice. Monzon-Cortarelli will also head the firm’s Italian Desk in New York and collaborate with attorneys from Studio Santa Maria as part of Greenberg Traurig’s longstanding strategic alliance with that firm, working particularly closely with Luigi Santa Maria.
Monzon-Cortarelli advises on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, corporate finance and general commercial transactions involving private and public companies. He focuses on cross-border M&A transactions and international capital market offerings, especially those involving Italian and Latin American companies and underwriters.

Monzon-Cortarelli represents various Italian and Latin American companies in a variety of industry sectors, on general commercial matters and establishing operations in the U.S. through the formation or acquisition of U.S. entities or joint venture arrangements.
Monzon-Cortarelli received his LL.M. from Fordham University School of Law and a LL.B. from the University of College London. Prior to joining Greenberg Traurig, Monzon-Cortarelli was of counsel at Withers Bergman LLP where he was head of that firm’s Italian Desk.
