The specialized physicians and team at Fertility Specialists of Houston are demonstrating their support for National Infertility Awareness Week by providing complimentary education and literature to any individual or couple potentially dealing with infertility in the Greater Houston area. Fertility Specialists of Houston, also known as FSH, believes that the first step in learning about infertility is acceptance.

“When a couple is having a difficult time conceiving, it may feel like they are alone in this situation,” states Dr. Randall C. Dunn, a Board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility Specialist at FSH. “However, there is an entire community out there that deals with the same issue every day. A significant number of people face some form of infertility, but the great news is that there is always hope and a variety of ways to treat the issue.” Dr. Dunn received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine and has been in practice for 25 years.

The world of infertility is often considered a private issue so a woman or couple can only turn to a few resources to discreetly learn more. Therefore, Fertility Specialists of Houston is offering two, complimentary webinars where a woman or a couple can comfortably interact with the team’s psychologist and physician network to validate their feelings and understand how to face their concerns in a proactive way.

“When people are faced with infertility, they are looking for ways to deal with their feelings, and even more importantly, they are seeking answers,” states Dr. Leah M. Schenk, a Reproductive Endocrinologist at FSH. “Our webinars will bring a sense of relief by providing such answers as well as give the initial foundation of why infertility or lack of conception is occurring.” Dr. Schenk received her medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine and has been in practice for 15 years.
