Protect America, Inc., one of the country’s largest home security companies, has won the 2013 SAMMY Award for Best Company Newsletter.
Austin, TX (PRWEB) April 10, 2013
Protect America’s CEO Thad Paschall was in attendance in Las Vegas at the Venetian Hotel Resort Casino to receive the award. The SAMMYs were created by Security Sales and Integration (SSI) Magazine in 1994 to recognize excellence in home security marketing. The awards are given out each year during the ISC West Conference.
“Our marketing department works really hard to bring recognition to Protect America,” Paschall said following the win. “We’re proud of their work and appreciate the recognition they’re receiving from the wider industry.”
The award-winning newsletter has been a hallmark feature of Protect America’s latest marketing efforts. Each monthly edition includes quirky graphics, a link to a themed article, and a security tip. Protect America graphic designer Caroline Schaffer is responsible for the primary design of newsletter. Copywriters Andrew Egan and Adrian Salas produce the articles and security tips.
Evaluation of submissions and nominees for the SAMMYs is handled by SSI and a team of marketing and security experts. In total, 13 awards are given out in a range of categories, like Best Installer of the Year, Best Broadcast Advertisement, and Best Community Outreach Program. In addition to Best Company Newsletter, Protect America also picked up nominations for Best Company Logo and Best Display Advertisements. Protect America had the second most nominations of any home security company at this year’s awards.
