When it comes to pricing, there are certain external factors that A&R Box and Packaging cannot control. As a result of this, A&R has raised prices on some products as of April 1st. The markup on products has been around 6%. One set of products that have seen an increase is items supplied by the prestigious protective packaging innovator, Sealed Air.
Products you can see a price increase in are as follows: the complete range of Bubble Wrap® brand air cellular cushioning, Cell-Aire® PE foam, NewAir I.B. ®, inflatable cushioning, FillTeck™ inflatable cushioning, Jiffy® mailers, Fill-Air® inflatable void fill material, Rapid Fill® automated bags, PakNatural™ loose fill, and PriorityWrap® bubble laminate material. Any packaging firm that carries Sealed Air products has already implemented this price increase to reflect on current market prices. The reason for this price increase ranges from global to internal factors. Reasons include: the tightness of the petroleum refining capacity, increased fuel rates around the world, wage increases, and overall utility costs.
Another set of items that has seen an industry-wide price increase is boxes. Corrugated boxes are the meat and potatoes of A&R Box and Packaging’s products and their prices have increased by 10% as of April 1st. This price increase has sent the entire industry into a frenzy to adjust prices and to make the entire market as competitive as before. Despite the trends, A&R has a solution to still keep valued customers coming back and still receiving competitive prices. Returning customers will still receive discount prices when placing bulk orders. A&R has worked out a deal to share the costs on bulk orders. In the end, A&R will indeed provide competitive prices during this hectic time in the cutthroat packaging marketplace.
