SeatMe, a leading provider of online restaurant reservation systems and front of house management software that helps restaurants fill more tables, announced today that Russell Jackson’s Subculture Dining Club picked SeatMe to sell prepaid tickets to membership events. These events, open to members only, typically involve a meal at a surprise location. Jackson has been hosting Subculture events in San Francisco for several months, and has begun planning for the next phase of the social club to host events in New York as well.
Beyond other ticketing services, SeatMe’s restaurant prepaid ticketing system can assign guests to specific tables, and restaurants can use the same platform to take regular online reservations, manage their walk-ins and waitlist, track tables, and more. SeatMe costs a flat $99 per month, after a fourteen-day free trial, with no per-cover fees.
Subculture primarily uses SeatMe to manage prepaid reservations for its secret dinners, which are promoted to members and sold as ticketed events. Jackson also occasionally sets up an online pop-up shop for members to purchase hard-to-find ingredients. Membership applications to Subculture Dining are taken online, and there are no dues.
Russell Jackson, the chef behind Subculture Dining, is also competing this week in Iron Chef: America, against Jose Garces, airing on The Food Network. His next scheduled underground dining events are planned for April 12-13, April 19-20, and April 26-27. Reservations from new and existing members are still being accepted on the Subculture Dining website.
“Subculture Dining is an ideal SeatMe partner, pushing the boundaries of the dining paradigm,” said Alexander Kvamme, founder of SeatMe. “As we continue building a solution that works for every restaurant to bring dining out into the twenty-first century, we’re thrilled to be working with established talent like Chef Jackson.”
“SeatMe is the best way to manage prepaid reservations and events for restaurants and even underground supper clubs like ours,” said Russell Jackson, the founder and chef of Subculture Dining.

About Subculture Dining
Founded by Chef Russell Jackson, SubCulture Dining came to existence in 2005 with the opening of the restaurant Lafitte on the San Francisco Waterfront. What was originally a simple idea of active growth had become a movement. Considered one of the first underground dining clubs, Subculture has given birth, motivation and inspiration to many others around the world. It’s our position that we hope to bring conversation, action and evolution to the new paradigm. Led by the Dissident Chef and his crew.
