Held on April 4th and 5th, the conference was attended by over 1,200 top leaders in industry, financial institutions, government agencies and think tanks from 40 different countries. EX-IM Bank Chairman and President Fred Hochberg opened the conference by highlighting the success of the Bank in sustaining more than 255,000 domestic jobs through its increased financial support of U.S. exports.

Mr. Zuckerman was featured on “They Did it – So Can You: Tips from Successful Small-Business Exporters” an informative dialogue during which expert panelists shared how they increased profits and products sales through exports. The panel’s audience consisted of small business leaders, exporters, media, and members of the Small Business Administration (SBA) and various other government agencies.

Moderator CBS Business and Economics correspondent Rebecca Jarvis began the session by introducing the four panelists. In addition to Mr. Zuckerman, the panel consisted of Michael Boyle, CEO of Boyle Energy Services, Steve Wilburn, Chairman and CEO of FirmGreen and Karl Brown, President and Founder of SB Global Foods. Each participant was given several minutes to briefly address the subject before the topic was opened up to discussion. Panelists shared the ideas and methodology behind their approach to exporting, all expressing advice and common cautions for small businesses.

Mr. Zuckerman emphasized the importance of business practices and stated “Maintain absolute integrity…” and “Introduce products only when they are ready to be delivered.” Describing the additional success ServerLIFT is able to achieve working with EX-IM Bank, Mr. Zuckerman personally validated Chairman Hochberg’s opening remarks about the benefits of insuring receivables though the EX-IM Bank. The panel was concluded with an open questions and answer session.

The Export-Import Bank of the United States acts as the official export credit agency of the federal government. The mission of the Bank is to generate domestic job growth through growing export volume by providing loans, guarantees and other support for private exports. The assistance provided by the EX-IM Bank enables domestic companies to realize international sales opportunities. ServerLIFT was honored as a spotlight company at the 2012 Annual Conference and is proud to be a notable success story of the Bank’s Global Access for Small Business initiative. The company has worked closely with the agency since it was named the 1000th small firm to partner with the EX-IM Bank in June 2011.
