Rockshore Director of Transport, Nathan Day, has been confirmed as a seminar speaker at the upcoming Railtex event at Earl’s Court, on Wednesday 1st May.

Nathan’s seminar presentation: ‘Open data – driving control room innovation’, will discuss how the release of rail data in the UK has challenged traditional methods by providing live and intuitive access to train location and service status information.

Exhibiting on stand J14,Rockshore will showcase a range of example applications based on open data, including a mobile application which delivers real-time train movement information via an intuitive web-based interface.

In 2012,Rockshore worked with Network Rail to help release their real-time train running information through the Data Feeds service. This marked an important step forwards in Network Rail’s wider transparency initiative and commitment to sharing information in order to improve both network performance and passenger experience.

Railtex attendees are able to attend the presentation free of charge, however spaces are limited. Additionally, if you would like to arrange to meet Rockshore at the event, please contact Hannah Rudman at Rockshore.
