Austria Discovery Package

Austria is an ideal destination for those who enjoy being in the great outdoors with activities ranging from short walks and hikes up the mountain terrain to relaxing by the lakes and water sports. Each area of Austria has its unique sights and cultural history for all holidaymakers to explore and enjoy. This summer, there are a selection of packages which allow customers to discover Austria and all it has to offer.

Customers are able to book a Discovery Package in Seefeld just north of the capital Innsbruck and stay at the four-star Hotel Kaltschmid for seven nights based on four sharing from £481 per adult on a half-board basis. This hotel offers a range of facilities such as an indoor pool with two saunas and whirlpool, children pool and slide, live music, lounge, bar and café. Also included in the price are various excursions to Neuschwanstein Castle and Oberammergau, Vipiteno and Neustift Abbey, Ötztal Glacier and Ötzidorf, a unique open-air archaeological park based on the Neolithic Age, Austrian skittles evening and a quiz night.

From May through to September 2013, there are various events and entertainment at the lakeside resort of Zell am See. On Thursdays and Saturdays, you will see the Mystical Lake Show Rock, a display of water, lights, music and lasers. Visitors and locals will also be able to delve into another culture, through a night of Italian Flair with artists and music located in the town centre. One of the events which attract guests from all over the world is the ‘1st Lake Festival Zell am See’ which consists of two festivals; the ‘Trachten’ (traditional costumes) lake festival and the sport lake festival. The festival has live music and fireworks set on Lake Zell itself.

For customers looking to explore Austria via its lakes, whilst relaxing in luxury accommodation, the Hotel Fischerwirt in Zell am See is available for seven nights from £576 per adult. The hotel offers a range of facilities including a sauna, solarium, free Wi-Fi and a rooftop terrace. Customers also receive a guest summer card giving free access to cable cars and lifts up the mountain, boat trips, and access to the lakeside lido. The Discovery Package gives customers the opportunity to create their own adventure with excursions to Salzburg, Berchtesgaden, Krimml Waterfalls and a twilight cruise of Lake Zell.
