By insuring their commercial property with Clements, customers will have the peace of mind and the financial protection they need to continue deploying assets and expanding operations, anywhere in the world.

Clements Worldwide, leading provider of international insurance solutions, announces the launch of its new Commercial Property product. Uniquely designed to safeguard tangible commercial assets situated outside of an organization’s home country, Clements’ comprehensive coverage delivers affordable commercial property protection, even in high-risk locations.

Placed with Lloyd’s of London, Clements’ A-class security binder provides critical protection against financial losses associated with damage to internationally-deployed property. The new policy covers both material damage to commercial assets (buildings, business personal property, contents, stocks, heavy equipment, and computers/laptops) as well as business interruption. With just one blanket policy, organizations with multiple field offices or locations -- such as NGOs, contractors, or schools -- can secure affordable, seamless cover in all countries* with no minimum premium requirements.

Developed in direct response to underserved market needs, this coverage has traditionally been a challenge to obtain, particularly for international entities with assets located in regions with political violence exposures. This is especially significant as developing countries are now attracting two-fifths of the world’s foreign direct investment, according to the International Monetary Fund. Since economic volatility is often closely associated with political instability, Clements’ commercial property product offers a timely solution to the various risks inherent to operating in established and developing markets alike.

While Clements highly recommends that organizations include its political violence extension for assets abroad, the new commercial property coverage can be also offered independently or in addition to transit and cargo or capital equipment coverage as well.

Sergio Sanchez, Clements’ director and CMO, adds: “With the launch of our new commercial property line, we are delivering another best-in-class, affordable and tailor-made solution for international organizations with highly valuable yet potentially uninsured assets around the world. By insuring their commercial property with Clements, customers will have the peace of mind and the financial protection they need to continue deploying assets and expanding operations, anywhere in the world.”
