Howard Davis Jr.’s Fight Time Promotions presents world-class professional Mixed Martial Arts Cage fights with: Fight Time 14 “This Means War” live from the historic War Memorial Auditorium in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on Friday April 26th, 2013.
The Fight Time Promotions Lightweight Champion Vagner Rocha will defend his title for the first time against JP Reese.
This will be Rocha’s third appearance in a row in the Fight Time Promotions’ cage. He boasts a record of 9-3 and is a veteran of the UFC, Strikeforce and Bellator. He has been victorious, so far in the Fight Time Promotions’ cage, and this is the first time that he’s putting his Lightweight title on the line since becoming champion in 2012 over Mike Bruno.
“I’m so excited to see this fight,” said Howard Davis Jr., CEO of Fight Time Promotions and 1976 Boxing Olympic Gold Medalist. “I know JP very well and I know Vagner very well. And knowing what I know; I can guarantee that both men will be coming out strong to fight in the cage for that title belt,” he added.
Reese, from American Top Team Coconut Creek has a record of (9-4), and he’s a Bellator veteran.
He has also fought on Strikeforce and once before with Fight Time Promotions.
Rocha represents his own gym out of Pembroke Pines, FL (VRMA) and is confident that he’s going to keep his Fight Time Promotions’ title.
This is a great main event for Florida fight fans. And, the undercard is just as exciting as the main event featuring former UFC fighter – Yoislandy “Cuba” Izquierdo with a record of 6-2 representing American Top Team. He faces Erin Beach of California, who was featured in the Ultimate Fighter Season 15 and also fought on Bellator. ATT’s Randy “Venezuela” Barroso, who is on a 4-fight winning streak, returns to the Fight Time Promotions’ cage as well as Robert Goodridge of Valor Martial Arts in Royal Palm Beach with a record of (5-1).
Fight Time Promotions continues its 2013 season at its home venue for the third year in a row. The company is holding another series of five professional MMA shows as they’ve consistently done so from Ft. Lauderdale’s historic War Memorial Auditorium.
