Matheson Advisors is bringing leaders together to discuss capital and merger & acquisition (M&A) strategies and opportunities that firms can utilize as they continue to build value in their businesses and rebound from the economic hurdles they have faced in the past several years.

“Based on last year’s strong reception and positive feedback, we have set high expectations for this year’s Forum”, said Colvin T. Matheson, Managing Director of Matheson Financial Advisors. “Last year’s highly successful Forum brought 100 A/E/C, government contracting, and environmental consulting firm leaders together with discussions and expert advice on what companies can do to best prepare their firms for the uncertain economic future.”

The 2013 Capital Strategies and M&A Forum will be held June 17-19, 2013 in Chicago, Illinois. Prominent speakers will include Dr. Barry Asmus, Mike Barnicle, Bill Siegel, President and CEO of Kleinfelder, and Alan Krusi, President of Strategic Development at AECOM. The conference will include sessions on ownership transition, integration, private equity, ESOPs, deal financing, legal implications of capital strategies, tax and accounting issues, and insurance and risk strategies.

“Our program will provide a current assessment of the M&A markets and capital formation strategies and will help firm leaders evaluate and execute successful M&A and other alternative capital strategies,” said David S. Cohen, Managing Director, Matheson Financial Advisors. “We are limiting the attendance to 125 executives this year so we can continue to provide a small, intimate environment conducive to networking and interactive discussion."
