Nationwide Title Clearing

We like to develop a feeling of community and belonging that extends beyond our work day, and highly encourage employees to attend community events and do their part

PALM HARBOR, FL (PRWEB) April 15, 2013

Nationwide Title Clearing, Inc. (NTC), a leading service provider for the residential mortgage industry, has incorporated corporate social responsibility (CSR) into its business model. CSR is a process which aims to embrace and encourage a positive impact through a company’s activities on the environment, community and surrounding public. Though CSR is typically carried out by multinational corporations on broad social issues, NTC has managed to make an equivalent impact locally on its own Palm Harbor community.

NTC’s CEO, John Hillman, believes that the mortgage industry should have an influential impact on communities throughout the United States. “NTC has made a commitment to the Palm Harbor area,” Hillman said. “We like to develop a feeling of community and belonging that extends beyond our work day, and highly encourage employees to attend community events and do their part.”

NTC has over 325 local employees—many of whom are active volunteers—and has been committed for years to helping the Tampa Bay region by way of its involvement in blood drives, food drives, toy drives and various charitable events, among other efforts. Last year, NTC joined the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce as a Corporate Gold Member to support initiatives in local business affairs.

A group of NTC employees recently volunteered at the monthly Old Palm Harbor Main Street “First Friday” Food Truck Rally in Palm Harbor in March. The NTC volunteers hosted a free children’s arts and crafts activities tent for young attendees. There were food trucks, music and activities for children, including a bounce house, sidewalk chalk and a dance contest.

NTC is a member of the Old Palm Harbor Main Street organization (OPHMS), a group accredited as a National Main Street Program committed to supporting the local, existing merchants by enticing not only local residents but also tourists and seasonal visitors to spend time patronizing local Palm Harbor establishments. OPHMS organized the rally to foster a sense of community by providing places for the neighborhood to come together and build relationships and thus establish the community’s identity. NTC is happy to support these efforts.

The Old Palm Harbor Main Street “First Friday” Food Truck Rally is held in the Harbor Hall parking lot at 1190 Georgia Avenue on the first Friday of every month. NTC plans to continue attending the monthly rally, and will host the children’s art project again at the next event (activities will change each month to seasonal projects). Next month, NTC plans to do a spring theme with flower-inspired art projects with the children.
