The producers of Breakthroughs with Martin Sheen are pleased to announce a June debut for a new report into fascinating new discoveries in the field of paleontology.

Breakthroughs Martin Sheen is an independently produced television series airing in markets around the country on public television. The program is hosted by the legendary Martin Sheen, who is celebrating his second half-century in American entertainment in 2013. Mr. Sheen has developed a reputation as one of Hollywood’s most respected actors during a career that includes more than 60 film appearances.

Martin Sheen Breakthroughs has been talking to some of the noted minds in paleontology to see how new fossil discoveries are changing the conventional wisdom about North America’s prehistoric past. This summer, Martin Sheen PBS will show audiences how these finds are helping to paint a picture of a continent dominated by a vast inland sea that divided large groups of animals. This sea forced animals to adapt in different ways to different environments, which are presenting themselves as subtle clues in the fossil record.
