It has been reported by E Consultancy that research gathered by Pitney Bowes, the nation’s leading choice for office supplies, has shown that the average SME is only achieving 39% of its planned marketing activity. Whilst 77% of those surveyed acknowledged the importance of marketing to their business, a third rated their efforts over the past 6 months at just 5/10, with 11% admitting to not carrying out any of the marketing they had planned.
Providing a range of optimisation services, including SEO, PPC and content marketing, for a variety of clients, SEO Positive caters for businesses of different sizes and sectors. As such, the search marketers understand the importance of a strong online presence for small and medium sized firms. Managing Director, Ben Austin, shares his thoughts on the statistics.
“Pretty much every industry is becoming more and more competitive online. In order to stand out from your competitors it is essential to pay attention to your online presence. Some companies, especially smaller ones are often put off by the price, however, this is more than outweighed by the value of being on page one. Our advice would be to approach SEO firms that are flexible to your individual needs and offer creative ways of pushing your site up the rankings.”
