QuickStart Intelligence, the largest Microsoft Gold Learning Partner in the western United States, today announced a series of courses in training for the new Microsoft Visual Studio 2012.

The introduction of the new user interface in Windows 8, originally referred to as “Metro” but now officially called the “Modern UI” has ushered in the era of “modern apps.” Microsoft Visual Studio 2012, loaded with new capabilities for Windows 8, the web, SharePoint, mobile, and cloud development, was designed to be the ideal platform for the development of these modern apps.

Visual Studio 2012, working in concert with Team Foundation Services (TFS), also provides the application lifecycle management (ALM) tools you need to break down team barriers and reduce cycle times to deliver value continuously. Even the UI for Visual Studio has been redesigned to streamline everyday tasks and kick your productivity into gear.

To help large, agile teams give their businesses a significant advantage, execute on project development more rapidly and get those apps into action sooner, QuickStart offers many new courses designed to help them get the most out of the new capabilities of Visual Studio 2012 faster, including:

  • MS-10958-Programming Fundamentals of Web Applications
  • MS-20481-Essentials of Developing Windows Store Apps Using HTML5 and JavaScript
  • MS-20485-Advanced Windows Store App Development Using C#
  • MS-20486-Developing ASP.NET MVC 4 Web Applications
  • MS-20487-Developing Windows Azure and Web Services

Many of these courses are included in QuickStart’s “Guaranteed-to-Run” (GTR) program and are eligible for discounts in the QuickStart Volume Purchase Agreement (VPA) program. All courses are instructor-led and students may participate either in their nearest QuickStart facility, or from anywhere in the world using QuickStart’s innovative online learning system, QSLive which puts them in the classroom from wherever they may be.
