“The Inmar team is very proud of our very talented team members who make up these bands,” says Inmar CEO David Mounts. “I admire their commitment to sharing their talent to support an important cause for our community.”
Winston-Salem, NC (PRWEB) April 12, 2013
Inmar today announced that its two associate bands, The WINmars! and Crash, will perform in April to raise money to support a local agency that helps victims of child abuse. April is Child Abuse Prevention month. The WINmars! is Inmar’s corporate band and Crash is a local band with Inmar associates as members.
The one-night-only appearance, dubbed The Corporate Sellout tour, will be held at 8:00 p.m., Saturday, April 20, at the Old Winston Social Club. All proceeds will go to SCAN - Exchange Club Child Abuse Prevention Center of North Carolina.
“The Inmar team is very proud of our very talented team members who make up these bands,” says Inmar CEO David Mounts. “I admire their commitment to sharing their talent to support an important cause for our community.” He adds that “Anyone who knows the Inmar team knows that we will be there to support them in this important and fun effort – these bands can rock.”
Admission at the door will be $5 for teens and adults. Children are free, but donations of non-cash items such as toiletries, school supplies, baby items, etc. would be appreciated. A family-friendly time will be held from 8:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Children are welcome during this time. (Parents should keep in mind that the music will be loud.) Adults only will be allowed after 9:30 p.m.
The bands play classic and contemporary rock and began forming after some talented Inmar employees gathered spontaneously around a piano at a company event in 2010. Since that time, they have added members and perform regularly at Inmar events – at times performing lyrics written specifically for Inmar. The WINmars! won the Corporate Battle of the Bands held in Winston-Salem in 2012.
Members of The WINmars! are: Candice Kennedy, vocals; Jason Feltis, guitar; Matt Mandarano, guitar; Jonathan Allen, drums; Tom Young, keyboards, vocals; and Joel Cook, bass, vocals. Members of Crash are: John Skinner (drums, vocals); Deron Streitenberger (guitar); and Chris Dawson (bass).
