Kinvey, Inc., the leading Backend as a Service (BaaS) company that makes it easy for enterprises to setup and operate scalable cloud backends for mobile, tablet and web apps, today announced the release of a native mobile application for Salesforce CRM™ systems.

Kinvey initially developed the Salesforce CRM mobile app to demonstrate the power of its patent-pending Data Links technology, which extracts information from virtually any data store -- in this case, Salesforce CRM -- and mobilizes it on any device. Immediate demand led the company to productize the solution, which consists of a fully customizable front-end built on Kinvey’s core Backend as a Service platform.

Kinvey’s mobile app for Salesforce CRM can be customized to include only the objects and fields a sales team requires. “Unlike alternatives, the solution we created doesn’t attempt to force-fit a company’s entire Salesforce CRM instance onto the mobile form factor,” said Sravish Sridhar, founder and CEO of Kinvey. “Instead, we customize the app to include only the objects and fields that the client requires. After all, every Salesforce CRM deployment is unique.”

Other features that distinguish the new Kinvey solution include: secure offline access to maximize productivity, on-demand filtering of forecast and bookings reports, cross-platform (iOS and Android) support, and the ability for IT to integrate additional feeds from other data sources using Kinvey’s Data Links technology.

Several enterprises, including Nasuni, are deploying Kinvey’s mobile app for Salesforce CRM. “It’s critical that our sales team has the tools they need to close business, and increasingly those tools are mobile. They need always-on access to their forecasts and client information from their phones and tablets, and the ability to update records even when they are on the road and offline. We’re working with Kinvey to meet this need,” says Bill Simpson, VP of Sales at Nasuni.
