Owner Alan Feldstein of Infinite Safari Adventures will be attending the first-ever International Familiarization Tour and Investment Forum this month, from April 15 to 18 in Punta Arenas. The forum is hosted by the Magallanes Regional Government and Chilean Economic Development Agency (CORFO).

The tour will depart from Punta Arenas and will travel to Tierra del Guego and Carlos III Island. Chilean and international entrepreneurs will meet with invited guests, such as Feldstein, to familiarize them with the region, form partnerships, provide leasing and purchasing opportunities, and meet with local government officials and tour operators.

The goal of the International Familiarization Tour and Investment Forum is to promote tourism business opportunities in the Magallanes and Antarctic regions of Chile, specifically in Tierra del Fuego. The Magallanes region of the Chilean Patagonia is an up-and-coming tourist destination that offers whale watching, fishing, bird watching, kayaking, sailing, and hiking amidst natural landmarks of millennial woodlands, fjords and glaciers, and mountains.

Feldstein specializes in East African safaris, which is a region known for its nontraditional traditional wildlife safaris, but Feldstein offers some unique outdoor activities, like kayaking in the Tanzanian waters. He is currently researching other areas suitable for tours that additionally offer a bevy of outdoor tourist excursions.

“I am honored to have been recognized and selected to participate in this Tour and Investment Forum. Many of my clients have had such a wonderful time traveling with Infinite Safari Adventures in Africa and are always looking for new and exciting adventures for us to take them on,” said Feldstein. “I will be interested in exploring this opportunity for them.”

More than 300,000 travelers frequent the region each season, and there are more than 500 tourism operators mainly composed of small business operators. The main tourist locations include north of the Magallanese Region, the National Heritage Site Rio Batchelor, Navarino Island in the Antarctic Province, Muñoz Gamero Peninsula, and Southern Tierra del Fuego.

Feldstein is especially interested in the Chilean region because of its natural beauty.

“Chile offers a natural, organic spot for tourists different from Africa. But like Africa it’s not a commercialized spot, which is why I see it as another great potential option for my clients. I like to offer unique options to my clients,” said Feldstein. “It is important to step out of your day-to-day life, jump to a different spot in the world, and take in an entirely different, breathtaking experience. It has always had a positive effect for me.”
