This remarkable night will begin with cocktails at 6:00 p.m., followed by dinner and dancing at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, May 4 at the Pond House (2941 Main Street, Glastonbury, CT 06033).
Emceed by Joe Furey, Director of The New England Weather Service and Chief Meteorologist for FOX CT and CBS Radio, and hosted by Audrey Kuchen Anchor/Reporter for FOX CT, the evening includes a special performance by the Griffith Academy Irish Step Dancers. Guests will also have the opportunity to bid on eye-popping silent and live auctions. Tickets are still available for purchase at covect.org/a-taste-of-the-cove-gala for $100 per person, or $1,000 for a table of 10.
"The evening will be a great opportunity to support a worthy cause, enjoy wonderful entertainment and celebrate life," said Joe Furey, a long-time Cove supporter.
The Gala is a critical fundraising event for The Cove through ticket sales, sponsorships, auction and raffle proceeds as well as advertisements in the event program. A special "18 for 18" Challenge will also be launched at the event in honor of The Cove's 18th anniversary. If The Cove can raise an additional $18,000 or more through pledges at the night of the Gala and through June 30th from this challenge, the donors will match it dollar for dollar.
