Led a Major Business for General Dynamics
Steve Torma, 50, has joined Liberty Ammunition after serving at General Dynamics, Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS for the previous 27 years. Most recently Mr. Torma was the Vice President and General Manager of the Large Caliber Ammunition Business Unit where he was responsible for the design, manufacture and delivery of tank, artillery and mortar ammunition systems. Prior to this, Torma was the Vice President of the Small Caliber Ammunition Business responsible for the management of the Second Source Small Caliber Ammunition Program in support of the US Army. During this tenure at General Dynamics, Mr. Torma lead the activities of GD-OTS in the manufacture and delivery of over 1.1 Billion rounds of small caliber ammunition from a diverse world wide supply chain charged with the production of military grade 5.56mm, 7.62mm and .50caliber ammunition.
Senior level Government, Industry and International Relationships
Over the past 27 years, Steve has led initiatives for General Dynamics directly with the US Government and multiple international industry leading companies in the ammunition industry including Denel Munitions, Rheinmetall, Nammo, Taiwan 205th Arsenal, Israel Military Industries (IMI), Thales and others. He has led initiatives at the senior level around the world in key opportunity markets including Canada, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Israel, South Africa, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Australia and multiple others. “We are extremely fortunate to have someone of Steve’s ability to join the firm as its new leader.
