Space‐Time Insight, the leading provider of next‐generation situational intelligence solutions, has been named to three prestigious “Vendor to Watch” lists in the first quarter of 2013, each focused on companies developing innovative technologies for smart grids and the energy sector. The recognition from technology news site GigaOm, the power industry’s Smart Grid News and the green tech market analyst firm GTM Research comes after a period of brisk growth and innovation for Space-Time Insight, including 150 percent year-over-year bottom line growth over the last few years, $14 million in new funding, and the recent addition of Southern California Edison and Hydro One Networks to the company’s expanding list of utility industry customers.

  •     In January, GigaOM named Space-Time Insight one of 13 energy data startups to watch in 2013, calling out “analytics that can collect and analyze energy data” as a “hot trend.”
  •     Smart Grid News highlighted Space-Time Insight in its 13 Smart Grid Companies to Watch round up in February, a list that was chosen by the publication’s readership with more than 12,000 votes cast. Space-Time Insight was also featured in the publication’s 2012 companies-to-watch list.
  •     GTM Research–the market analysis arm of Greentech Media, a clean tech news publisher– awarded Space-Time Insight a place on its 2013 Top 10 Smart Grid Vendors to Watch this March, in recognition of “the vendors that have the most potential across the smart grid value chain in the coming year.” Space-Time Insight joins industry heavyweights such as Accenture, EMC, Honeywell, and Toshiba on the list.

“As smart grid adoption spreads globally, GTM Research is focused on analyzing the trends, challenges, opportunities and technologies that are transforming how power is being generated, distributed and consumed,” said David Groarke, Senior Analyst at GTM Research. “The vendors on our Top 10 to Watch list are distinguished by the innovation and sophistication of their solutions, as well as the alignment of their offerings with the needs of the evolving smart grid market.”
