The Toledo Symphony Announces 70th Anniversary Season for 2013-2014

This may be one of the best Classics series in recent years - soaring on the wings of works you know and loved performed in new ways. The Pops series will not only remind you of the tremendous talents of the orchestra through great Broadway and movie programs, but will also feature excellent vocalists.

The Toledo Symphony celebrates its seventieth season with some of the most beloved works in the repertoire.

Be a part of the experience like never before! Waltz through Vienna, visit South America for the Four Seasons with a twist, and offer the awe-inspiring power of Verdi's Requiem and Mahler's Fifth Symphony. Amadeus: In Concert brings the silver screen to life through an amazing combination of theater and musical performance. Kirill Gerstein will return to perform both Brahms Piano Concerti, as only he can do. Classics subscribers are invited to be our guest at a special celebration of the TMA's Skinner Organ with virtuoso Paul Jacobs.

All six of Bach's Brandenburg Concerti will be performed in a truly exciting endeavor in the Mozart and More Series. The KeyBank Pops will feature Rockapella and Elvis tribute artist Kraig Parker. "This year’s pops line-up is packed with amazingly talented vocal artists, who all really appreciate the value of performing with a live symphony orchestra. I believe that groups like Rockapella and Boyz II Men have a style that speaks across generations—this is a great year for families to go to the pops together," said Ashley Mirakian, Director of Marketing and Communications.

Our 3-concert Family series moves to the Valentine Theatre in order to expand our pre-concert activities. There will be a Christmas special in the Peristyle for families and kids of all ages to enjoy.
