“Had we been on the offense when my brother had sleep apnea, he would still be alive today,” says super bowl champion Derrick Kennard. Sleep disorders are a sleeping giant to an estimated 70 million Americans; 37 million Americans experience regular or chronic snoring and 18 million suffer from sleep apnea. “It is more than a game, and with the right team we can be proactive and come out winning,” says David Gergen, President of Pro Player Health Alliance. “Proactively networking together we can change the score, increase life expectancy and the quality of life,” according to Dr. Brad Eli of San Diego, California.

Roy Green, Marc Walczak, Derek Kennard and over 100 other NFL greats have been or are being screened for sleep apnea but they are not alone. They are concerned about the whole team and that team includes every football fan across the country. “Living with sleep apnea can be tough from top quarterbacks to the smallest fan, but all should be treated with the same standard of care. The Koala Center for Sleep Disorders do this through comprehensive training, and a seamless system of procedures and tools that connect all the dots and can be duplicated across the country.” According to Dr. Rod Willey, President and CEO of Koala Center for Sleep Disorders.

Dr. Tara Griffin, owner of Koala Center for Sleep Disorders in Bloomington, Illinois comments, “I give credit to much of my success in treating so many individuals to Dr. Rod Willey and Koala Centers”. Dr. Griffin hopes to surpass Dr. Willey this year in the number of people she improves the lives of through treatment via CPAP or oral appliances manufactured by Gergen's Orthodontic Lab, one of two labs in the country that produce FDA approved Herbst Devices for sleep disorders.

Dr. Gary Core comments: “I am proud to own the first Koala Center for Sleep Disorders in Arizona and sponsor the NFL Pro Players Health Alliance public awareness seminar on April 18, 2013 at 7:00pm at the Sheraton Crescent Hotel, 2720 W. Dunlap Ave., Phoenix, AZ. Come and join us along with Larry Fitzgerald and the NFL Greats as we press forward to defeat this debilitating disease".
