City’s longstanding global profile and energy-driven demographics attract the only UK business school operating in Americas

What makes Houston a match for the Manchester Business School Global MBA? Start with the largest international port in the United States, add the presence of 40 foreign government trade and commercial offices, and 23 active foreign chambers of commerce and trade associations. And for good measure, Houston hosts 21 foreign banks.

“We recognize that the greater Houston area, because of its concentration of energy companies, both fossil fuel and increasingly green energy, plays a major role in the global economy,” said Melissa Holland, Manchester Business School and global MBA Regional Director, Miami-Americas Centre. “Our Global MBA is designed to prepare rising managers for a career in international business.”

The Manchester Business School Global MBA is a three-year, part-time degree completed online and at one of seven global centers, including a new Miami-Americas Center opened in 2010.

Holland will meet prospective students, along with Manchester Business School alumni and invited guests, in Houston on Wednesday, April 17th at 6 p.m. at the Aloft Houston – Galleria. The Houston event is part of a multi-city tour that includes stops in Atlanta, Toronto, New York and Washington. Holland will also address students through an online webinar on April 25 at 6 PM.
