U.S. Mandate for Electronic Medical Records in 2014 to be a boon for U.S. technology firms with meaningful solutions including the PWeR® 2.0 (Personal Wellness electronic Record™) platform.

Grace Century FZ LLC offers an established global network of strategically allianced hedge funds, venture capital firms, universities, and entrepreneurs groomed over with 25 years of involvement in all aspects of business.
With Quantum’s state-of-the-art cloud-based platform and its now four (4) approved patents, we see a potential ten-fold growth within the industry in the next three years; we believe PWeR® 2.0 is the answer to the mandate of EMR in the U.S. in 2014.

Grace Century projects an even greater boon for the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) industry now that The Quantum Group, Inc. has announced (in Boca Raton, Florida on Friday, April 12, 2013) that it has received notice from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on approval of a fourth (4th) patent: System and Method for Automating and Verifying Medication Compliance (Part II).

This latest patent compliments the company’s first patent issued in April 2012 and is a support patent to its PWeR® 2.0 (Personal Wellness electronic Record™) platform, an integrated cloud-based, electronic medical/health record (EMR/EHR) system. The basis of the patent provides a revolutionary way to control healthcare related products, primarily in pharmaceuticals and medications, and other potential uses across many industry platforms.

According to Scott Wolf, President of Grace Century, the primary Private Equity firm assisting in the capital raise for PWeR® 2.0. “With Quantum’s state-of-the-art cloud-based platform and its now four (4) approved patents, we see a potential ten-fold growth within the industry in the next three years; we believe PWeR® 2.0 is the answer to the mandate of EMR in the U.S. in 2014.” Wolf describes the future of EMR as an inevitable technology advancement aimed at reducing cost and simultaneously improving healthcare. “This is not just about digitizing records; this platform can be used for other areas of conducting business in the healthcare industry including billing, practice management, scheduling and more. By 2014, all medical records must be transferred into ‘meaningful-use’ electronic medical records,” Wolf adds. “Nothing we have seen even comes close to Quantum’s platform and its concept of ‘One Patient, One Record.’”

Quantum Group’s new patent describes a process to use product packaging and labeling to determine the contents of a package/container and/or life of a product predominantly for the healthcare industry—more specifically in pharmaceuticals as well as any industry having products with a shelf life. The patent allows for an assessment, through either computer or through visual inspection, to know if a product has been tampered with or has been compromised by heat, radiation or even moisture.

The Quantum Group’s Chairman, Noel J. Guillama, who led the original team responsible for the development and innovation behind the patent and many of the pending patents still held by the company, stated. “We believe that in conjunction with our first patent, this innovation can be used quickly in healthcare, and we have only begun to explore other industry applications. Beyond today, we have envisioned many uses that, as technology improves, will provide a whole new way to manage inventory and product utilization in many industries.” Guillama further commented that the company was pleased with the decision by the USPTO in support of this patent, especially as it applies to the emerging technology surrounding the healthcare industry.

The Quantum Group reported that in 2013, the company continued to generate ongoing communication and responses for action items between the company and the USPTO on its 17 pending patent applications that ramped up during the last 12 months after its first patent was announced. Quantum anticipates approval of additional patents throughout the year from its portfolio of pending patents.
