The Last Summer which was written by 15-year-old novelist Jacquelyn Eubanks reached into the Top 10 in 2 categories this week. "This heart-warming novel reached #3 in Teen Literature & Fiction E-books and #8 in Religious Historical Fiction," announced VG Publishing. The novel is the first in The Last Summer Series and was selected as a 2012 USA Book News Award Finalist. It was completed by teen Jacquelyn Eubanks when she was 14 years old. The Last Summer stresses the importance of friendship and faith while illustrating how anything can be accomplished by staying true to oneself. This novel is a captivating story that will stay with readers for a long time.
Jacquelyn Eubanks will soon be releasing the second novel in the series, The Last Time later this year. A born storyteller, Jacquelyn states, “I started writing as soon as I learned how to put pencil to paper, and I completed the first draft of The Last Summer, when I was only twelve. Now fifteen years old, I am the eldest of a family of three girls, live in Michigan, and am an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers. I attend Cardinal Mooney High School in Marine City.”
