Twisted Audio is now offering a speaker upgrade for its motorcycle radios, which are made for affordable and easy installation on motorcycles with non-fairing windshields. The compact audio system now offers four-inch coaxial Polk db401 loudspeakers that deliver outstanding performance and durability. They are in fact Marine Certified — built to withstand the toughest environments, and feature Dynamic Balance® polymer/mica composite mineral filled cone that is stiff yet lightweight for big sound with little distortion.

With a new db-design grille, the speakers feature19mm liquid-cooled silk/polymer composite dome tweeter with neodymium magnet for clear, detailed highs. Low-mass 2-layer 25mm Kapton voice coil former is lightweight for high sound output. The durable butyl rubber surround also won’t fall apart under the stress of extreme temperatures and sunlight over time. Pole plate heat sink promotes better heat dissipation for superior power and reliability. Watt ratings are Peak: 270 watts per pair / 135 watts each; RMS: 90 watts per pair / 45 watts each.

Reinforced, acoustically inert stamped steel baskets are electro-statically powder-coated for a lasting finish. All Polk products are made using the best materials and the most advanced manufacturing techniques. They pass the industry’s most exhaustive quality tests, including drop testing, extreme signal response and UV & salt exposure testing. Polk loudspeakers are built to perform for a lifetime.

The new speakers provide a great addition to the Twisted Audio sound system that features integrated powered antenna, a heavy-duty AM/FM radio, and auxiliary audio input for iPods and MP3 players. The add-on radio also has a weather band and weather alert system.
