Third Annual Coastal NC Run/Walk for Autism to Raise Awareness and Funds

On Saturday, April 27, the Autism Society of North Carolina and GHA Autism Supports will hold the third annual Coastal NC Run/Walk for Autism. Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to participate in this event, which is held at Mayfaire Town Center in Wilmington beginning at 8:00 am.

The Coastal Run/Walk for Autism includes a chip-timed 5K race, a recreational 1-mile run/walk, and a kids’ dash. Individual and team awards will be presented after the race, and several organizations, including Surfer's Healing, that support the autism community will be onsite. Following the run, there will be a Family Day in the Park at Wrightsville Beach Park.

Proceeds from this event will be used to support individuals and families affected by autism in the coastal region of North Carolina. To date, over $22,000 has been raised. Please visit http://www.coastalncrunwalkforautism.com for more information.
